Job Description:

Participates on a multi-disciplinary team prowling daily oversight of all patients on anticoagulation therapy. Assumes primary responsibility for day-to-day monitoring of anticoagulation care with a focus on patient safety, patient/family teaching & discharge planning. Uses nursing knowledge & skills to anticipate/identify complications associated with anticoagulation therapy. Acts as a role model and serves as a clinical resource to other providers and departments. Remains flexible to change.

Education/Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Previous med/surg critical care experience preferred
• BSN preferred, previous expertise or interest in anticoagulation
  
  

Certification/License:

• Current Massachusetts RN licensure
• BCLS
• Certified (or eligible) as an Anticoagulation Care Provider (CACI
